What’s the goal?
I have been watching basketball for 15 years and it has always captivated me. I try my best to explain why on here, but more importantly, the magic of the game has never faded.
The Zone Master started out as a way for me to track my opinions over years. As I’ve continued to write, my interests in the NBA have evolved - the NBA Draft and the future of analytics have become the focus of this blog.
In recent years, I have become increasingly frustrated with the state of basketball discourse. I want to interview guests who have something to say and aren’t just driving engagement with ‘hot takes’.
How psychology, culture, and mathematics intersects with basketball has always intrigued me, and I hope to bring on guests who can provide insights into these areas. In addition, I want to give write ups on basketball analytics models and scouting profiles.
If you’re interested in my content, subscribing is free and none of my writing is paywalled. Feel free to reach out to me through email, Twitter, or in the comment section.
Predictive Models and Analytics can be found here.
Who am I?
I’m a student at Rutgers University - New Brunswick, double-majoring in Computer Science and Data Analytics, with a minor in Mathematics. All of these fields have been immensely useful in my understanding of basketball.
Besides roundball, I enjoy math, movies, Faye Webster, 00s hip-hop, and Pearl Jam.
